Brian Richie - Extra Innings Instructor

Brian Richie is the owner and operator of Extra Innings Littleton. Brian was born and raised in Northeastern Colorado and began his career of baseball up there starting with coach pitch at age 6. Brian attended Merino High School and was All State 2 years in a row. He then continued his education and Baseball at Otero Junior College. At Otero he played catcher and also outfield with a batting average of .325. After Otero Junior College Brian went to the University of Northern Colorado but had to end his career short due to injury. Even though Brian’s career was cut short he continued on by coaching and working one on one with individuals. Brian likes to keep the hitting stance and swing as simple as possible. When instructing Brian tries not to completely change up a swing but rather build from the batters natural swing and help fine tune their natural ability. Brian does catching fielding and hitting lessons for both baseball and softball.

Jason Livernois - Extra Innings Instructor

Jason Livernois serves as the assistant manager to Brian Richie and helps lead all of our instruction for hitters, pitchers, catchers, and fielders. His method of hitting comes directly from his personal analysis as a switch hitter along with watching years of major league baseball, being a lifelong student of the game. In his many years as an athlete, Jason has played every position, primarily catcher since his junior year in high school, and has learned from some of the best coaching styles from his past coaches and current coaching peers. Jason is a native of Orange County, California where baseball was prolific. He later moved to Chino Valley, Arizona in 1995 to attend high school where he played four varsity seasons. He was named an All-State Catcher as a senior while competing in two State Championships. Livernois started his college ball at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona, later transferring to Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas for his sophomore season. Jason graduated with a Bachelor Degree in computer science.

Jeremy Richardson - Extra Innings Instructor

Jeremy Richardson is a coach and instructor. He has over 10 years of coaching experience at several different ages from t-ball to high school. Jeremy played college baseball at UND-Williston in North Dakota as a switch-hitting shortstop. Jeremy specializes in building the core fundamentals of athletes and has developed several pitchers and position players over the years. Jeremy does the majority of our pitching lessons here at Extra Innings but will do both fielding and hitting instruction as well. Jeremy is a great asset to the Extra Innings Instructor staff, he does a great job working with players on their hitting, fielding and pitching.

Jen Dykstra - Extra Innings Instructor

Jen Dykstra was born and raised in Centennial, CO. Jen started playing T-ball when she was 6 and grew up playing baseball as a pitcher but switched to fastpitch softball at 14. Jen went to Littleton High School and played 3rd base and shortstop. She then went to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as the starting shortstop all four years, and was named All-Conference twice and All-Region for nationally ranked team and Conference Champions in 2004. In 2005 and 2006 Jen played ASA Women’s Majors for Storm USA in southern California where she played against Olympic athletes and was named All-American. She has 8 years of coaching experience of all different age levels, mostly high school girls and she was the assistant coach at Mesa State College in 2006-2007. She tries to teach fundamentals and basic improvements to take a player to the next level. Her hobbies include playing slowpitch softball, cooking, camping, golfing, and listening to music.

Brittany Bourque - Extra Innings Instructor

In 1994, Brittany began playing fast-pitch-softball for Tracy Express in Tracy, California. Brittany was one of the first students of All American Sports Academy, and had the opportunity to develop skills training through Debbie Nelson, who was an All American Softball player at San Jose State University. Brittany played for many travel ball teams in California, and had many years of experience pitching in many championship games. While attending Tracy High School in California, Brittany averaged 12 to 14 strikeouts a game. During Brittany’s senior year in high school, she moved to Colorado and played for Arapahoe High School, graduating with the class of 2007. She then played on a competitive summer ball team with the Pony Express, which then lead her two year scholarship to play at Lamar Community College. At Lamar she made First Team All-Region for Pitching and achieved 21 in the NJCAA for strike out leaders. Brittany graduated in the spring of 2009, and achieved her AS degree from Lamar Community College. Since then she has coached for Arapahoe High School as the Assistant Varsity coach for the 2010 season. She has also been instructing the game of softball since 2009 after returning from Lamar Community College. Brittany has achieved a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Metro State University and is now working on her Bachelors in Nursing at Denver School of Nursing.

Daniel Medina - Extra Innings Instructor

Daniel Medina is currently in his 9th season coaching HS baseball. He coached 6 years at Jefferson High School (4A Jeffco), where he was pitching and infield coach. He has spent the past 3 years as the head coach at Colorado Academy High School (3A Metro), with the same duties as pitching and infield coach. He has been the head coach of numerous HS summer teams that have participated in the R.B.I, C.B.L and Legion programs. Along with the coaching he has had multiple opportunities at providing lessons and 1-on-1 instruction. He was selected as head coach for the 2009 and 2012, Colorado Dugout Senior All State Games. Before coaching Daniel was a three sport athlete (football, basketball, & baseball) and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 2001. He then went on to pitch at Otero Junior College in 2003, and then transferred in 2004 to play on the first sanctioned baseball team at Arapahoe Community College. He participated in a fall season at CSU-Pueblo before a shoulder injury had him return to Denver and pursue his coaching career. In his free time he enjoys watching his 4 year old and 2 year old sons grow!!

Derek Roach - Extra Innings Instructor

Derek is a Green Mountain high school graduate. Derek then went on to play baseball at Wichita State University. He finished his college career in 2008 at Dallas Baptist University. While playing in Texas a few awards that he won were….. 2004 Texas Collegiate League Highland Park BlueSox 2004 named to the Texas Collegiate league all-star game. 2005 Named one of the Top 30 closers in college Division I baseball watch list. (National Collegiate writer’s baseball association). 2005 invited to play in the Cape COD summer League. Derek has had the honor of being coached and mentored by some of the most highly acclaimed and top coaches throughout the country: Gene Stephenson (7 college World Series appearances and 2nd winning-est division 1 baseball coach of all time) Brent Kemnitz (top 3 pitching coach in the country by college baseball insider) Eric Newman (UC San Diego Head coach) Dan Heefner (Dallas Baptist Head Coach), as well as, Travis Wycoff, Brad Kidwell, Dino Abeyta, Clint Zavares, Billy Cassidy, Darryl Milne, Dave Tucker, Mark Holzemer, Marc Johnson, Jeremy Kennedy. In 2007 he was fortunate enough to go to Guatemala for a four-day mission trip to embark on several mission opportunities around Guatemala City, which included visiting several orphanages, conducting baseball clinics for Guatemala's little league teams, and also played for the Guatemalan national baseball team. In 2008 Derek was the Varsity Pitching coach at Bear Creek High School. Derek Graduated Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelors in Sports Management. Here at Extra Innings Derek will be such an asset to our instructors and pitching staff.
